I have an Asus Eeebook X205t. I was using it and I closed the lid fully and I came back 1 minute later and opened the lid and it was just black. I restarted and the screen was still black. The power light was on but there's some glitches with the powering on. Its really weird. For example, when I shut down the laptop with the power button, I can't start it again for like 20 seconds. It didn't work like that before. I did all the hard resets with the removal of battery for 1 minute and leaving the power cord in and starting the laptop without the battery. Even tried the 30 degree angle start. I don't think my cable video cable could be damaged because I opened my laptop and there were no signs of loose cords or damaged ones. Please help me because my warranty ran out like a month ago

If you have an external monitor or any TV with compatible inputs try connecting it to one of those and see if there is any signal. If it shows that there is no incoming signal from the source your display might have malfunctioned. If that's not the case, try plugging the display output to another pc and see if it works, if not, the GPU might be fried.

Your Eeebook should have 1 x micro HDMI connection for an external monitor/TV
https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-eeebook-x205/specs/

If the external display doesn´t show an image, the display of your internal should be fine too, but the eebook might be faulty.

Remove the harddrive and if you have more than one RAM, use only one RAM
try to power up into BIOS

If you still have warranty, RMA it at your shop or ASUS

I see it, I had a look in my cable box and there isn't a micro HDMI cable. There's a normal HDMI cable though. Is there a workaround to this?
And I don't think you can remove the hard drive or remove and add ram

Just confirming but it can't be the motherboard can it? Because the power light turns on so it has to be the display or something else. Also, what if the connector to the screen is loose? Could that be an issue? If so I could disassemble and plug it back in.

if it´s not the motherboard, windows should boot normally and USB ports would be on too. Connect an USB device, if it´recognized (audio would be played) -> only a display fault
if not, motherboard

or power is not getting to it, battery or charge curcuit faulty

a power LED is not a guarantee that the motherboard is fine

I'm thinking that it could be the battery problem. I plugged in my mouse and it didn't make a sound but my mouse lights up. It doesn't seem like my laptop boots. Feels as if the power on light is lying or something. The power button also feels faulty, there's a large delay to when I can start the laptop again after I shut it off which is not supposed to be that long. I'm just guessing all of these things and figuring out possibilities which could be better in this situation.

The rebooting time after shutting it down hard should be normal
But I think your motherboard is faulty
